I know no one that makes me more happy

I got my first postcard from New Zealand! *grin* Thanks james! I really love receiving mail! The cows and sheep are so cute, they look so placid *laugh*

Here's my favourite Kiwi band - The Brunettes! (Not that I know many other bands from New Zealand *laugh*) They're twee and just so adorable! *tweet* and this is my favourite song from them.

We don't really have that many ducks here, but I can't remember a happier time than feeding fish, and terrapins and all the other random animals they have in the pond! *smile*

Honey
Mmm baby
Meet me at the park
I know no one that makes me more happy

Oh baby
Candy oh
I'll be waiting there
It's the closest place to St Elmo's

Candy oh
It's a total K.O.
Such a functional motion
Do the locomotion

And though you're regal
Disillusion halo
Sometimes makes me loco
You're my baby

Holding hands, feeding ducks
When I met you that's what I wanted to do
You in your element
It was a close encounter of the K.O. kind

The Brunettes | Holding Hands, Feeding Ducks

Can't find a streamed version again but here's the video instead! Oh and it's such a coincidence that they're dressed up in costume, considering that it's now Halloween! I want to be a cat!

I guess it's just my luck

Just watched this horrow show based on some Stephen King story about dead singers in Rock and Roll Heaven and yes, rock never dies *laugh*

I love the dark lyrics, sung with such harmony, under the simple chord structure and noisy guitars. It's like being told something that seems so innocuous, and not realising you're being made fun of.

My girl is a little animal
She always wants to fuck
I can't find a reason why
I guess it's just my luck

So at night when she's sound asleep
I head out in the rain to meet

All the things she never gave
To me when I was down
All the thing I had to find
With strangers in strange towns

But at night when she's curled up next to me
I head out for the devil to meet

The Raveonettes | Little Animals

I can't seem to find a streamed version of this song, or any other song from this album actually. So in the meantime, here's another one I like.

Changing your strut when you know I'm behind you
Changing your ways 'coz you don't know what to do
I only wanna tell you, how I feel inside
If only you could listen, try to change your mind

So I walk right up to you
And you walk all over me
And I ask you what you want
And you tell me what you need

Can't you feel it all come down
Can't you hear it all around
At the place where lost is found
That great love sound

Talking to you makes me wanna shake and shout
Touching you makes me wanna come right out
You could never want me
The same way I want you
I'm love tornado struck
I don't know what to do

The way you move is a mystery

A lot of things are mysteries to me. But that's the beauty of it isn't it? Once you know it all, own it completely, there's really nothing alluring anymore. And you won't want to hold it down with a promise, because the fear of losing it isn't there anymore.

Sometimes, I wish I was still mysterious, still alluring. But you can't take something like that back. There's no point in wallowing *laugh*

Anyway, here's another french band with the coolest video, check it out!

Do the D.A.N.C.E
One two three four fight
Stick to the B.E.A.T
Get ready to ignite

You were such a P.Y.T
Catching all the lights
Just easy as A.B.C
That's how you make it right

Do the D.A.N.C.E
Stick to the B.E.A.T
Just easy as A.B.C
Do the dance

Do the dance
The way you move is a mystery
Do the dance
You're always there for music and me

Under the spotlights
Neither black nor white
It doesn't matter
Do the dance

As strong as you might
Working day and night
Whatever happenes
Do the dance

Justice | D.A.N.C.E

And another one I like a lot!

99 red balloons go by

Well it's october again. And what better way to celebrate Oktoberfest than to have german beer at a german pub, with your german boss singing 99 luftballons, in german. *grin*

Here's the english version, 99 red balloons! I can't understand the german version but it sounds so good! You have to teach me the words one day, mischy!

You and I in a little toy shop
Buy a bag of balloons
With the money we've got
Set them free at the break of dawn
'Til one by one, they were gone
Back at base, bugs in the software
Flash the message
"Something's out there"
Floating in the summer sky
99 red balloons go by

99 red balloons
Floating in the summer sky
Panic bells, it's red alert
There's something here
From somewhere else
The war machine springs to life
Opens up one eager eye
Focusing it on the sky
Where 99 red balloons go by

99 Decision Street
99 ministers meet
To worry, worry, super-scurry
Call the troops out in a hurry
This is what we've waited for
This is it boys, this is war
The president is on the line
As 99 red balloons go by

99 Knights of the airway
Ride super-high-tech jet fighters
Everyone's a Silverhero
Everyone's a Captain Kirk
With orders to identify
To clarify and classify
Scramble in the summer sky
As 99 red balloons go by

As 99 red balloons go by

99 dreams I have had
In every one a red balloon
It's all over and I'm standin' pretty
In this dust that was a city
If I could find a souvenier
Just to prove the world was here
And here is a red balloon
I think of you and let it go
